The project was to promote the chosen artist and their exhibit. At the beginning of this task, I chose Pablo Picasso, Au Lapin Agile. I then created a value study of the photo of the painting to establish the shadows and light areas within the painting. After that, I began a color study which consisted of multiple media such as oil pastels, watercolor, color pencils, and text from books. Next, I began creating multiple compositions of the poster. However, I chose this composition to finalize because I felt it had the essence of the painting, and it also showcased Picasso's art style of cubism.
